Science-led cycling camps based in the heart of Almería — exceptional roads, outstanding coaching, and a home away from home
From our base in Turre, Almería, we run small, focused cycling camps throughout the spring and autumn. The camps are designed for groups of different abilities — each camp is clearly described in terms of the riding expectations so you know exactly what you are signing up for. Whether you are a seasoned club rider or building back to fitness, there is a camp for you.
All camps include science-based coaching presentations, individual coaching consultations, and guided rides on some of the finest and quietest cycling roads in Europe. We offer both road and gravel options.
Our Base — Casa Davar, Turre
Casa Davar is our own property — a beautifully restored traditional Spanish townhouse in the heart of Turre village. It is your home for the week, not a hotel. Guests have full access to the lounge, dining room and kitchen throughout their stay, creating a warm, relaxed atmosphere that is a world away from a conventional hotel-based cycling camp. We can accommodate up to five cyclists.
Turre — Everything You Need
Turre is a genuinely great town and completely self-sufficient — you will not need to travel to any larger centre during your stay. The town has approximately three or four supermarkets, eight or nine restaurants, two banks, numerous cafés and bars, and a good variety of other shops. A welcoming, authentic Andalusian town that provides everything you could want after a long day in the saddle.

The Roads
The roads around Turre and the wider Almería province are outstanding for cycling — quiet, well-surfaced and largely free of traffic. The terrain offers exceptional variety: rolling coastal roads, demanding mountain ascents, and challenging gravel tracks through the dramatic Andalusian landscape. The region is one of the driest in Spain, which means reliable sunshine and very few weather cancellations.
Notable local climbs include the iconic Alto de Velefique switchbacks — 13.2km at 7.3% average — a Category 1 ascent used regularly in La Vuelta a España and one of the finest climbs in southern Spain.

For Larger Groups — Marina Playa Hotel, Mojácar
The Marina Playa de Mojácar Hotel is a well-recognised national and international destination for cyclists — it is the Official Headquarters of the Belgian Cycling Federation in Spain. For larger groups we make use of this exceptional facility, which has everything necessary for the training and care of cycling teams and groups.

Getting There
The best flights are direct services from Edinburgh to Alicante (ALC), operated by Jet2 and Ryanair. Other UK airports also serve Alicante with good frequency throughout the spring and autumn. Flights are not included in the camp price.
We can arrange transfers from Alicante airport to Turre for £70 per person return (both ways). Bike hire is also available on request if you prefer not to travel with your own bike.
